Cup Companion — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cup Companion mobile application. By installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, using the App as a guest, or interacting with any Cup Companion feature, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Account terms

  • You must provide accurate information when signing up
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
  • One account per person

3. Subscription terms

Cup Companion offers the following paid tiers via App Store / Google Play:

  • Pro — USD $7.99 / month (7-day free trial)
  • Ultimate — USD $19.99 / month (14-day free trial)
  • Travel Pack — USD $14.99 one-time purchase

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancellation is managed via your App Store / Google Play account settings.

Refunds are governed by Apple's / Google's standard policies. We do not provide refunds for partial periods.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
  • Post hate speech, racist content, or content inciting violence
  • Upload illegal, pornographic, or unauthorized content
  • Manipulate predictions, leaderboards, or any gamification system
  • Use automated tools or scrapers against the App or our backend
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the App to facilitate gambling, betting, or money transmission

5. User-generated content (Fan Zone)

You retain ownership of content you post (text, photos, predictions, comments). By posting, you grant Cup Companion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and adapt your content within the App and related marketing.

You are responsible for content you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms. Users may report content via the in-app Report button; content with 3+ reports is auto-hidden pending review.

6. Predictions disclaimer

Cup Companion is an information and entertainment service. It is NOT a betting site, sportsbook, or gambling product. We do not accept, place, facilitate, or settle wagers.

Predictions shown in the App are statistical model outputs based on historical and live sports data. They are intended for entertainment, research, and educational purposes only. Past performance does not predict future results. Any decisions you make based on this information are entirely your own responsibility.

7. Intellectual property

  • The Cup Companion app, including its source code, design, branding, and content, is owned by Oney Finansal Danışmanlık Turizm ve Dış Ticaret AŞ
  • Team names, player names, stadium names, confederation marks, and tournament marks are trademarks of their respective owners — used in the App for editorial purposes under fair use
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or reverse engineer the App
  • User content remains owned by the user (subject to the license in Section 5)

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Live sports data is provided by Sportmonks. We are not responsible for inaccuracies, delays, or omissions in third-party data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oney Finansal Danışmanlık Turizm ve Dış Ticaret AŞ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100 if you have not made any payments.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cup Companion and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete account.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Turkish law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye.

For EU consumers, the consumer protection laws of your country of residence may apply alongside these Terms. For UK consumers, UK consumer law applies in parallel.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent revision.
