Cup Companion — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cup Companion collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the mobile application. By using the App, you consent to the practices described below.
1. Who we are
Cup Companion is a 2026 tournament companion mobile application operated by Oney Finansal Danışmanlık Turizm ve Dış Ticaret AŞ (a Turkish joint-stock company). We are not affiliated with any tournament organizer, confederation, or national football federation. All competition trademarks remain the property of their owners and are used solely for informational purposes.
2. What data we collect
Account data (only if you sign in):
- Email address
- Display name (if provided by Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or Email signup)
- Profile photo URL (only if you sign in with Apple/Google and have a public photo)
- Authentication provider used (Apple / Google / Email)
- Firebase UID (anonymous random identifier)
Profile preferences:
- Selected language (default: device locale)
- Supported country / team
- Favourite teams and players (watchlist)
- Notification preferences
Usage data:
- App version, platform, OS version, device model
- Screens visited and taps made (aggregated analytics — not personally identifying)
- Prediction history and bracket picks
- Polls voted on
Device identifiers:
- Push notification tokens (FCM/APNs) for delivering notifications
- Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) only if you opt-in via App Tracking Transparency
Location data:
- Only collected when you explicitly grant location permission for Travel Pack features
- Stored transiently — used to compute distance/directions, never logged to our servers in identifying form
Photos:
- Only if you upload to Fan Zone memories
- Stored in Firebase Storage with metadata; we do not run facial recognition
3. How we use your data
- Provide app features: live scores, predictions, leaderboards, Fan Zone
- Send push notifications (per your toggles in Settings → Notifications)
- Aggregate anonymous analytics to improve the product
- Personalize content within the app (e.g. dynamic country theming)
- Customer support communication
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
4. What we DON'T do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not share personally identifying information with advertisers
- We do not track you outside of our app
- We do not run facial recognition on uploaded photos
- We do not accept, place, facilitate, or settle bets — Cup Companion is not a sportsbook
5. Third-party services
We rely on the following providers, each with their own privacy practices:

6. Your rights (GDPR · KVKK · LGPD · CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: receive your data in a portable JSON format
- Objection: object to processing for direct marketing
- Withdrawal: withdraw consent at any time
- Complaint: file a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise these rights, email info@oneyworld.com with subject line "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days.
For Turkish residents, KVKK ("Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu") rights apply. We are registered with the Turkish data protection authority as required.
For EU/EEA residents, GDPR rights apply. For California residents, CCPA rights apply. For Brazilian residents, LGPD rights apply.
7. Children's privacy
Cup Companion is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not directed at users under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact info@oneyworld.com to request immediate deletion.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed outside Türkiye, including in the United States (Firebase, AdMob), Europe (Sentry, Sportmonks), and Singapore (MongoDB Atlas). All transfers occur under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active + 24 months after deletion request
- Anonymous analytics: 14 months
- Crash reports: 90 days
- Push tokens: until you uninstall or revoke notification permission
10. Security
- TLS 1.3 encryption in transit
- Encryption at rest for all production databases
- MFA required on all admin systems
- Regular security audits via Sentry + manual code review
- Bug bounty: report vulnerabilities to info@oneyworld.com
We cannot guarantee absolute security but we apply industry-standard practices.
11. Updates to this policy
Material changes will be notified via in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this document reflects the most recent change.
